Happy September Troopers!!!!!!
WOW!!!! This year is flying by..........We are getting close to the holiday season and business is finally picking up. My experiences as Squad Leader for the South Texas Squad have been very good. I have learned quite a bit and all of the things I thought I could do, I have not been able to do and the things I never imagined have been great. So, all in all it has been great so far. On a side note, I have helped several people join the Legion this year!! WOOHOO!!

I really do not have much to report, but soon I will have a lot and pics too. I will close saying this, check back soon and.......wait for it.........wait..........

Well Troopers, the year is flying by! It has been a slow year trooping wise, but the Houston Jedi group that I have helped to start is doing great. We had a fantastic Relay for Life event back in April. National Star Wars day is coming up and many other events as well. Keep your eyes open, things are in the works.

Comicpalooza and Space Center Houston were a complete trooper-loopin (ha) time. Both events were well attended and the crowds were awesome. I have to say that the highlight of both would be that our Houston Jedi Group had a surprise visit by Ray Park. He gave our Jedi group a few lessons on dueling and complimented our progress thus far. On a side note, I totally missed it due to a bad ankle. I messed it up on our duel at the con on Saturday and left early Sunday. Mike, Marshall and Kris did a fantastic job with Ray.

On the 501st side of things, our troopers were above super on performance. A huge amount of money was raised for The American Cancer Society thru green screen pictures and donations. Also, John Denning bought some light saber swords and sold them at the Con. The profits went to The American Cancer Society too. Way to go squad!!

Fan Force needs a big thank you too!! their support was extremely useful and appreciated. Thank you. :)

Time to wrap it up. More reports coming soon. Troop on!

Well, I am now the squad leader for the South Texas Squad!! Let me be the first to say that Stephen was great and I am glad to call him friend. I hope to carry on what he started. As many of you have noticed, it has been slooooooooooooooooooooooooooooow. Now, just like Stephen and Sam, I cannot magically create events. But, I have some ideas and some things I will do to help bring some activities.

As for now, All-Con is on us starting March 12-14. I encourage everybody to go if you can swing it. It is a great place for us Texas, Oklahoma and Arkansas people to gather and have a great time. After that, we will be having Comicpalooza here in Houston. C'mon Houston!! We need everybody to step up and be there. People ask "Why doesn't Houston have any conventions?" Well here is an op and we have to help it grow. Most cons start out as a small deal and then blows up due to people coming to it.

With that being said, I will now say thank you to those of you that voted for me and support me. Also, thanks to all who voted period. If no one votes we cannot have elections. I am hoping for a great year. If anyone has suggestions for troop events, please let me know. Pics are on the way!!!

TK is starving for some trooping.....

well troopers, it has been a dead year so far for us Imperial Stormtroopers. Our clone brothers have an event coming up and I believe there is a Boy Scouts event for any costume too. But, as far as a major event........nope. :( There is ALL-Con though!! So, we might be able to get our troop on there. Trooper activities are scheduled, but since this will be my first time at All-Con I am not able to say until I attend. (Don't worry, I will report as soon as I get back. Heck I might even report daily from there. Double heck, I bet noone is even reading my blog. Is anybody out there? HAHA)

On a side note, my Luke Skywalker costume is complete and my Force Unleashed Galen Marek(Vader's Secret Apprentice) is been used several times now. So, This year looks to be costumed filled. Anyways, I better get to work here.... One more note....at my job, I manage inventory for high end office furniture and I had to name a couple of new chairs. The names are "The Revan" and "The Malek." Can you guess where those names are from? Haha I love my new job.

Blog with you all soon brothers and sisters of the Legion!! Troop on.......

Con-Jour 2010

Well, went and trooped the Con-Jour 2010 scfi con in Clear Lake at the University of Houston Clear Lake. First of all it is a small con, which means it was low in attendance. But, I will say that the people there were very receptive of our being there. I am going again today to basically to suit up. This year so far has been dead on events, so, any chance to suit up is great. Plus, I like to oportunity to meet local sci-fi fans.

Well, untill our next official troop. this is as good as it gets. HAHA. Troop on!!!!

Sunday, January 24, 2010

First off, I have a confession troopers. I just got accepted into the Rebel Legion as Galen Marek thesecret apprentice of Darth Vader. So, this year I will be trooping for bothe Legions. Speaking of this year, we finally got our first troop done for 2010. The Star Garrison South Texas Squad is back in business. Well, kinda in business. Our first troop was a bday party that earned over a $100 for the Texas Children's Hospital. So, a successful troop!!

What is next you ask? Conjour at the UH clear lake. It will be a small convention that is looking to grow into a pretty cool. If you can make it, go out and support the cause. Updates on the way. Troop on.
